Beneficiary
The Pittsburgh Oyster is proud to have the Pennsylvania Environmental Council as its beneficiary. The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) connects people with their environment in many ways, including through the development of greenways, land- and water-trails, and improvement and conservation of riverfronts. These activities connect Pennsylvania’s open space, natural landscape features, scenic, cultural, historic and recreational sites, and urban and rural communities. PEC is a statewide organization that brings people, government, and business together to find real world solutions for environmental challenges, to bring about sustainable communities, protect our water resources, and address energy and climate issues. Donation Incentives

Donations are no longer mandatory for any division. Racers still have the opportunity to earn Course Clues, a Sponsor clue, gift cards and more by raising money to donate to thePennsylvania Environmental Council. Incentive levels are located in the Official Urban Race Packet . Every course has two Course Clues and one Sponsor Clue (and yes, there is a difference between the clues!).

$30 - Early Passport Release
*Teams get the chance to have a mystery leg of the course revealed the night before race day. No brainer!

$100 - Course Clue
*Teams will receive a clue the night before race day that will give them an extra edge while out on the course. (ex., answer to a difficult puzzle, address to a mystery location, etc.)

$300 - Beer Wristband at the After Party
*Teams will get a special bracelet at the after party that will allow them unlimited cold beers.

$500 - Charity Bomb + $110 Merrell Gift Card
*As a Thank You for raising the highest level of funds for a good cause, teams have the opportunity to drop a charity bomb on the competition & "explode" to the front of a line anywhere on the course! (You can only detonate a bomb once).

Friday, June 15th
Team Check-In @ 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Saturday, June 16th
Race Day!
Transition Area: Heinz Field 900 North Shore Drive (Intersection of maseroski Way & W General Robinson St.) Pittsburgh, PA 15203 Alco Parking Lot 5A (look for the white tents - that's us!).

6:30am - Transition Area opens! If your team didn't check-in prior to race day, please arrive at 6:30am to do so. Otherwise, come early to claim your team stall for the day.

8:00am - Oyster_The Race begins! (Full Course Only - Tradiational & Relay Divisions)

9:00am - The Half Oyster begins!

2:30pm(ish) - Enjoy post-race food and the awards ceremony. Awards for the top three teams in each division will begin when a minimum of 75% of teams have completed the course. The After Party will be across the street at McFaddens where each racer gets one free beer! Party on, you've earned it. (Address: 211 North Shore Drive, Pittsburgh PA, 15212)
