Beneficiary
The Nashville Oyster is proud to have Camp Kesem as its beneficiary.
Camp Kesem is a national nonprofit providing
free overnight summer camps for children ages 6 -16 with a parent who has or
has had cancer. Camp Kesem
provides a safe and supportive atmosphere, where children befriend peers who
can uniquely relate to their situation, and gain the strategies and confidence
needed to cope with their parent's illness or death.
Camp
Kesem's mission also serves the thousands of college student volunteers who
create every aspect of their Camp Kesem chapter while gaining valuable real
world leadership skills and developing their passion for making a difference in
the world.
Camp Kesem is a 501(c)3 organization with over ten years of growth
and success.
There are currently 37 camps in 22 states - including programs at the University of Texas and Texas A&M.
Our vision is to bring the life-changing benefits of Camp
Kesem to any family coping with cancer.

Donation Incentives
Donations are no longer mandatory for any division. Racers still have the
opportunity to earn Donation Incentives, a Sponsor clue, gift cards and more by
raising money to donate to the local Nashville non-profit. Incentive
levels are located in the Official Urban Race Packet. Every course has two Course Clues and one Sponsor Clue (and yes, there is a difference between the clues!).
